DONCASTER FLOOD APPEAL
The Doncaster Lions Clubs are working with the Doncaster council and have been registered as one of the partner support organisations and are helping with the overall flood recovery plan.
The floods extended over a distance of 10 miles along the River Don and have affected many districts and villages, most of which are in the areas generally covered by Doncaster Went Valley and Thorne Rural Lions Clubs but our contribution to the overall recovery efforts means that all of the Zone Clubs will be actively involved.
Flood warnings may have have been lifted in parts of South Yorkshire as water levels on the River Don fall, but recovery efforts are continuing.
Otley Lions Club has donated £1000 to Thorne Rural Lions Club to use in anyway it can to assist with the work in the affected areas.

If you would like to make a donation towards the work being carried out then you can through our bookshop or our members.
Just pop your donation in an envelope and mark it "Doncaster Flood Appeal" then pop it in to the bookshop or hand it to one of our clubs Lions.
