CLUB FORMATION AND CHARTER
Formed on the 4th June 1980 at the New Inn pub with the help of their “Mother Club” Wharfedale Lions who were based in Ilkley but folded several years ago.
The Club was given its Charter on 17th October 1980 by District Governor Cyril Huggins. The dinner and dance for the occasion was held at Otley Civic Centre and was attended by 150 guests, 14 of which were Presidents from other Lions Clubs.
